Help Educate an Orphaned Child

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” ~ Nelson Mandela

At Orphan Life Foundation, we live by this quote!

The Basic Right to Education

We believe education is the birthright of every individual in this world regardless of their color, race, ethnicity, social status, and cultural and religious background.

We truly understand the role education plays in transforming the lives of both children and adults.

The Experience of an Ex-volunteer, Judith Myers

We believe a child shouldn’t be robbed of their right to get a good education just because they lost their parents or because their guardians abandoned them. Based on such values was our decision to implement the Desk for Children Project (DCP) and Pencil for Poor Program taken.orphaned children at a school

Our goal is to reach out to orphaned children in different regions and provide them with quality education along with the academic facilities and materials they need.
With your generous support and our untiring passion and enthusiasm, we managed to set up a makeshift as well as a few permanent schools in different areas during 2011-2015, providing orphans with more than 400 desks to lay their academic dreams on.

We Still Have a Long Way to Go

Despite the constant efforts put in by our partners and us, a huge gap remains that needs to be filled. It breaks our heart to see innocent children, as young as 4 years old dreaming of receiving a quality education and becoming valued members of our society.

Why can’t we step up and help them work for their bright future?

Some of these hopeless children have to share even the most basic school supplies, including books, notebooks, and stationery. The unfortunate fact that there are more willing children than desks at some schools forces them to sit on the dirty and mostly scorching hot floor.

Your Contribution Matters

Orphan Life Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have been and are part of our continued efforts under this project. However, this is not the time to slow the pace of work that has been done rather multiply our efforts, support, and donations to take this project to the next level. We would highly appreciate if you decide to become a part of our continued effort to make the lives of these orphaned children better by giving them access to education. No donation is big or small – you can become a greater person by offering a helping hand.

It’s not about how much you do, but how much love you put into what you do that counts.”
~ Mother Teresa.

No amount of emotional or tangible support can compare to the spark in the orphaned children’s eyes when they sit down to learn. You can be the reason of that spark too!
